Mohawks Ice Speed Skaters

Photo’s of The Mohawks Ice Racing Club’s skaters, based at the Solihull Ice Rink. Short track speed skating is a form of competitive ice speed skating where skaters race in age categories. In competitions, multiple skaters typically between four and six skate on an oval ice track.
Mohawks (formally known as Birmingham Mohawks) has been going since 1935 and they have produced many world famous skaters like Wilf O’Reilly.

Recently GB Short Track Speed Skating Academy was launched with training for 12 skaters in Sheffield. The programme gives access to elite coaching and sport related specialists to Mohawks skaters: Ethan Treacy, Niall Treacy, Charlotte Hayward, and Natasha Nemeth-Knight.
Current Club Coach is ex-Olympian Tom Iveson.
