Coventry 26 v Birmingham Moseley 23

Bham Moseley suffered their fourth away defeat by a late penalty kick in an exciting match which swayed from home team Coventry to Mose and finally back to Coventry. Both teams played their hearts out with one consolation to Mose of getting a losing bonus point with final score line being 26-23. The game was billed as a local derby with a biggest crowd ever of 2712 not bad for a Nat League 1, the car park ran out room for everyone. Chris Brightwell had an excellent game for Moseley as did replacement hooker Jake Farnworth who scored a try from 30m break.

Birmingham Moseley scorers:

Birmingham Moseley drops to 4th place following this defeat and now have been beaten by all top three sides. Plymouth rises to 2nd place by narrowly losing to a runaway leaders Hartpury College however the losing side picking up two points, one LP and one 4 try BP. Plymouth are playing clever rugby and also by collecting 13 bonus points during this season despite winning one less game than Birmingham Moseley. Mose does have 100% home record which they should maintain in their next game. Hopefully boys in red and black will be charged up over Xmas period and pass the ball to their talented wingers in Ed Sheldon and Drew Cheshire.
