Walmley Cricket Club 4th XI entertained Blossomfield 2nd XI on a sunny day with visitors coming with high hopes to take maximum points from the last game of the season. However, the visitors effort was hampered by short of two players -one of the players ended up at the wrong ground eventually to join the game half way. Host team scored 229 runs for 9 wickets. The stand out player for Walmey was Liam Greenshields who rapidly scored 58 runs and eventually lost his middle stump to leg break of Vikash Chavda. The home side would have been bundled out for lot less had Bloss took all the catches in the field – they dropped at least five to six catches.
Shortage of regular players also hurt the visitors in the batting department too. Greenshields was also outstanding at the first slip where he took four sharp catches. Bloss were bulldozed for 112 runs all out in 20.1 overs with two youngsters Aryan Kayani and Bilal Hussain taking seven wickets for 34 runs between them for Walmley.
