Rugby: Birmingham Moseley 5 vs 9 Blackheath

Birmingham Moseley played much better rugby in the damp and wet condition compared to their previous home game seven days ago. It was a game of small margins as indicated by the score line. BM played the better game and scored the only try of the match in second half (51mins) with Danny Wright crossing the line in the corner. The difference today was Blackheath’s fly-half Mark Cook who was on song with kicking, scored 3 out of 3, whereas Ben Palmer/Cliff Hodgson missed 3 penalties plus a conversion between them! BM applied lot of pressure in the last 20 minutes, but it amounted to nothing. Buster Lawrence had a standout game for the home team.
