Ice Hockey: 0 v 11 Sheffield Steeldogs

Solihull Barons struggled against well drilled Sheffield Steeldogs. Opposition scored quickly courtesy of an Ash Calvert tapping in from a feed by Milan Kolena on just 41 seconds. Barons paid the penalty for having too many players on the ice and Steeldogs took advantage of one man short by Kolena scoring again. At the end of first period Steeldogs led by two goals.

In the second period Steeldogs started to show their class and to make matters worst for the home side their goalie Dangie Brittle was cited for slashing and consequently sent off. The five minutes penalty incurred cost Barons by Steeldogs slotting in further three goal.

The third period was most productive for Steeldogs as they changed into higher gear and scored further six goal. Steeldogs netminder Dimitiri Zimzodra was resolute and didn’t let Barons put anything back of his net.
